If you have entered we would like to thank you for entering our jogscotland Christmas Cracker and Children’s Santa Dash taking place at Broadwood Stadium on Sunday 1st December 2019.

The event is delivered by North Lanarkshire Leisure and is part of the jogscotland challenge series.

The route is almost flat and a fast course with only a few inclines.

Your race pack has to be collected on the day at the registration area which will be open from 8:30am and closes 20 minutes before the race start.

Please ensure you are there in plenty of time to get collect your pack and get to the start line.

In your registration pack you will receive your Race Number, Timing Chip, Safety Pins and your Santa Hat which we hope you will wear during the event.

We encourage participants to dress up and get into the festive spirit.

Alongside the Main 5k event is a 100m Toddler Santa Dash for children up to 5yrs old.
The day also includes a Santa Dash for children aged 5-8, this will be 400m and a Super Santa Dash for children aged 9-11, this will be a 1k.

10:00am -        Toddler Dash (up to 5yrs)

10:10am -        Santa Dash 400m (Primary 1-4)

10:30am -        Santa Dash 1k (Primary 5-7)

11am -             Christmas Cracker 5k


All children will receive a Santa hat for participating.

Finally we are also delighted to announce the event will be in partnership with our registered charity Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland
You can make donations to SBHS when you enter any of our races. The charity will have staff and donation buckets there on the day.

Parking for the event is at Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld, G68 9NE and we will also have an overspill car park at St Maurice's High School.  This is just a few minute’s walk from the start line.

Please note there are no road closures on the day of the event but we still encourage you to arrive early to avoid any unforeseen issues.

The Christmas Cracker is a festive fun run! Ditch the sleigh and dash away on a 5k around Broadwood Stadium and the surrounding Loch!
Get a team together with your family, friends and colleagues to take part. Turn those Scrooges into Santa’s and run or walk as a team. The more, the merrier!

Entries to the 5k will receive a Santa suit!!! Children will receive a Santa hat!!!

The event will be run in partnership with the Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland who will be the registered charity for the event.

100m Toddler Santa Dash (0-5yrs), 400m Santa Dash (P1 - P4) and 1k Santa Dash (P5 - P7)

Start time: 10:00am


Adults and children  will receive a Santa gift when they sign up, which you can wear as you dance, prance or dash your way to our finish line. Along with the run, there’ll be plenty of festive fun and entertainment to get you in the Christmas spirit.

We also encourage runners to get in the spirit and come in fancy dress.

The 1k Santa Dash will be from the start line at the stadium, round the BMX track and back. 

The 400m Santa Dash  will run from the Start line towards the away car park, turn and back to the main Start finish line 

The jogscotland Challenges are a series of fun, friendly events across Scotland, guaranteed to be welcoming and achievable for first-timers, as well as offering an enjoyable event for more experienced runners.

The run is particularly suitable if you’re a new jogger looking for your first event, because it has been built on the reassuring jogscotland approach of celebrating the achievements of every runner, whatever their speed, shape, size, age or ability.
