GAA Summer Event Specific Camps (1)

Dates: Tuesday 2nd August - Thursday 4th August

Time: 10:00am-3:00pm

Venue: Emirates Arena

Ages: 12-17 years old

Cost: £70 for Glasgow Club Members, £80 for non-Glasgow club members

*Q buster will charge a £3 service charge for all entries*

The Glasgow Athletics Association and Glasgow Sport Athletics Development have joined together to host TWO event specific camps this October:

- High Jump

- Hurdles

Our camps are designed to introduce/develop children’s track & field event skills, where the emphasis is always on fun and enjoyment!

All camps will last three days - Tues 2nd, Wed 3rd & Thurs 4th August.

All athletes will choose one event to specialise in over the course of the camp.

They will be split into their event specific groups in the morning and then come together in the afternoon for talks and arranged group activities.

Athletes can expect: event specific coaching; injury prevention; international athlete talks; t-shirt :)

Each camp will be lead by passionate event specific coaches (all of which still compete themselves to a high level) with knowledge and experience of their events that they want to pass on to the next generation. This year's coaches are tbc.

There is a maximum of 12 athletes per event discipline.

Places will operate on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis, once the camp is full entries will close, so please enter quick to avoid missing out.

*Closing date to apply is Friday 29th July.

*Camps will work on a minimum of 6 athletes applying, may be subject to cancellation if this is not reached*
