The Helix Tri Stars Duathlon, organised by Falkirk Community Trust, is a perfect introduction to multi-sport for youngsters.

The event organisers are currently working to have the 2015 event sanctioned by Triathlon Scotland. This race is held under the rules of Triathlon Scotland and the British Triathlon Federation -- see BTF Rulebook (May 2013)

Registration from 08:45 to 09:15

First race starts at 09:30

Car Parking – Falkirk Stadium

Changing Facilities – Falkirk Stadium (please note there are NO changing facilities at the helix park, toilets will be available)

Bikes must be in place by 09:00, all bikes must be fitted with working brakes as well as plugged handle bars.

General Rules

• Start number must be worn on the back during the entirety of the bike section and on the front during the run section.

• Bikes must be checked and of an appropriate standard for racing.

• Helmets are compulsory and must be of an appropriate standard for racing.

All paths are open to general public at all times

No mp3 or ipods are allowed to be used during the event

Marshals instructions should be adhered to at all times.

Medical crew and marshals appointed by the organisers may withdraw any athlete from the race should they feel that there is a major health or injury risk at any time during the race.

Cancellation rules Withdrawal, Cancellations or Alterations

The Event Organiser reserves the right to alter the start time of the Event. In the event of a change of start time the Participants will be notified of the revised start time with as much notice as reasonably practicable. No refund in full or in part shall be made for any change in start time for an Event provided the Event takes place on the specified date of the Event. The Event Organiser reserves the right to change the date of the Event. In the event of such change of date of the Event, and the Participant is unable to attend on the revised date, he/she has 14 days to inform the Event Organiser in writing from when the change in date is announced to receive a refund of their Entry Fee.

The participant shall receive a 50% refund for withdrawal from the event should withdrawal occur more than 8 weeks prior to the event date.

The participant shall receive a 25% refund for withdrawal from the event should withdrawal occur 4 – 8 weeks prior to the event date.

The participant shall receive no refund for withdrawal from the event should this occur less than 4 weeks prior to the event date.

All withdrawal requests must be received in writing to [email protected] to be considered and processed for approval, upon receipt of a written withdrawal request this date will be used to calculate the refund authorised. Payments will be issued within 28 days.

The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event format at their sole discretion (such as by way of illustration from a Triathlon to a Dual Discipline Event or other suitable race format) or cancel the Event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or for any safety related reason. In the event of the Event being cancelled it shall provide the Participant with a full refund with no further liability whatsoever arising from such cancellation. If the event is changed to a Dual Discipline Event or other format the Participant will not be entitled to any refund and there shall be no further liability whatsoever arising from such change of format.
