After the disappointment of having to cancel the event in 2022 we are delighted to announce that we are back for 2023. 

CLUBSPORTNL HALF MARATHON and DRUMPELLIER 5k

Sunday 30th April 2023 - 09.30am start

St. Ambrose High School, 65 Townhead Road, Coatbridge ML5 2HT

Closing date for all entries will be Monday 17th April 2023

The event is delivered by clubsportnl in partnership with Run Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire Council and Hope for Autism.

Alongside the main half marathon road race is the Drumpellier 5k timed road run,

Our designated charity this year will be Hope for Autism who are based in Airdrie in North Lanarkshire. If you can spare anything then it would be most welcomed. 

The Course

The start / finish is located within St Ambrose High School area.

From the start the runners will proceed along the school access road until reaching Townhead Road. Continuing on Townhead Road past Lochview golf course and then turn left onto Gartcosh Road and into Drumpelleir Country Park (water station at this point). Continue through the park until reaching Blair Road. At this point turn right and continue along Blair Road until the corner of Glasgow Road. Turn right and head along this road until reaching the crossing at Drumpellier Lawns estate joining Coatbridge Road. The route continues along Coatbridge Road directed by stewards and continues until the turning at Cuilhill Road.

Continue up Cuilhill Road and onto Gartcosh Road before turning right into Drumpellier Country Park. Follow direction of the stewards (water station at this point) and continue through the park on the same route as before until reaching Blair Road.

At Blair Road complete a second loop as previous via Glasgow Road, Coatbridge Road, Cuilhill Road, Gartcosh Road and then Drumpellier Country Park back to Blair Road.

After the second loop at this stage turn left onto Blair Road and proceed until Townhead Road. Turn left and proceed along this road until the left turn into the park. Turn left and head as directed to the finish line.
